WorldPride Toronto bars-men’s rights group CAFE from parade:

As usual, ‘Xtra’ misses the structural issue at work

The issue here is that lovable, cherubic backstabber Kevin Beaulieu and Pride Toronto made a mockery of what was already a mockery – its Dispute Resolution Process – by pretending it does not exist and kicking out a group whom progressives hate and publicly vilify. At the eleventh hour, no less.

Meanwhile, seemingly endless bureaucratic applications making the case that QuAIA contravenes Pride Toronto participation criteria were rejected by hand-picked lawyers on the DRP, whose chair actually resigned without bothering to tell anybody. (Who’s the chair now? Maybe you should Google that lawyer’s address on one of the PDFs.)

The sole difference in the two cases? Beaulieu and Pride Toronto agree with, support, and are friends with QuAIA and its leaders and members. They would lose face socially if they banned from Pride anything Tim McCaskell ever did or does.

How do I know all this? Well, I can prove only most of it; the rest of it I surmise. If anyone at Pink Triangle Press felt like committing real journalism, they could come over and look at my clipping file. And they could ask me for comment and allow me to actually return a phone call.

Everyone will act like the point is moot 24 hours from the time I write this. It won’t be. This action cements Pride Toronto’s reputation for corrupt and dishonest practices.

Here’s what Pride Toronto thinks are two of the problems in the world: Israel and men.
